The Glare was one of the three mobs that people were able to choose at the eleventh Minecon, or Minecon Live 2021. This mob has the ability to locate dark areas, and becomes grumpy whenever it's shrouded in darkness. This helps the player mob-proof dark areas by finding where mobs could spawn.
The Glare was the first mob revealed in the Minecon Live 2021 Mob Vote, followed by the Copper Golem and Allay respectively. It lost the mob vote
