The junglin was the winner of the 1.21 mob vote on October 15, 2023. Its success was a surprise to everyone, beating the capybara by a landslide. Junglins are playful creatures which dwell in jungle treehouses. They can stretch their limbs to great distances, which the player can utilize as a sort of grappling hook. This is fanmade, it hasn't been added.
Junglins have a darkish-orange color, with a head like a dinosaur, and they are small in size. Their clothing consists of a bamboo skirt and an olive-green shirt. They have a long lizard-like tail which can twist into the shape of a monkey-like tail. If it is equipped with a sword, then it will hold the sword with its tail.
Health[]
They have 20 hearts which is equal to a zombie. However, junglins are capable of drinking healing potions to refill their health. They are immune to drowning, poison, freezing, and fall-damage.
Behaviors[]
They can stretch their legs and arms to a length of ten blocks, and are capable of swinging from tree to tree.
If attacked, all nearby junglins will use blowpipes with poisonous stingers to attack the player.
Junglins are very playful with each other and will play games such as Hide-and-Seek, tag, monkey-in-the-middle, soccer using a melon as a ball, and they play sword fighting using wooden swords.
If they are in a snow biome, then they will have a snowball fight.
At night, sometimes they will jump on their bed instead of going to sleep.
They like to read books.
They eat cookies.
They are able to swim.
Taming[]
The junglin had a very unique form of taming. When the player gives the junglin a totem-of-undying, the junglin would become friends with the player and would follow them around similar to a pet. The junglin could ride on the player’s back and behave like a personal grappling hook, allowing them to quickly travel and climb blocks. They became especially useful in mining, so ladders were no longer necessary.
Trading[]
Similar to piglins, the player can give the junglins books to obtain a random item. The player can obtain stone tools, blowpipes, poisonous stingers, healing potions, and cookies.
Blowpipes
With addition of junglins, blowpipes were also added into Minecraft as a new weapon. These were crafted from bamboo and could shoot poisonous stingers from bees (referred to as stingers). They did a very small amount of damage, but could be an excellent weapon in some scenarios.
Blue junglin[]
The blue junglin is extremely rare. It is wearing an ancient junglin cloak instead of the typical junglin outfit. When it spawns, a bolt of lightning will appear then the junglin will appear. It will summon lightning and disappear if the player tries to attack it. It does not interact with the player or items. It can spawn in any biome or dimension.
Junglin jockey[]
A junglin-jockey is a junglin which spawns riding an ocelot. It is one of the most common jockeys in the game.
Zombie junglin[]
The zombie junglin is a very rare junglin that can be found. It attacks villagers, players, and other junglins. It is fast and extremely dangerous!
New Jungle Structures[]
Lazurite
Underneath the Jungle Temple another structure was added to the game which appears to be an ancient spaceship known as the Lazurite (inspired by the Malachor Sith Temple). It is made of hematite blocks. This spaceship contains a massive library which is the largest library in the game. Symbols of the totem-of-undying are found on pillars inside the spaceship. There was also a new type of tree growing inside the ship. These trees have glowing blue leaves and have a new type of blue plank. In the center of the spaceship, the player can find a block of lapis which powers the entire ship.
Rations are a new type of food found in the Lazurite. It is a blue glowing snack bar. They can stack up to 64. A single ration can completely refill the player’s hunger, but they must be used sparingly because they cannot be crafted.
Jungle treehouse
The jungle village consisted of bamboo and jungle wood. This was a place where villagers and junglins could live together. The jungle village lacks iron golems because the villagers remain safe in their treehouse.

Get effected with levitation while a junglin is riding on your back. In the Minecraft Marketplace skin section, you will unlock a belt with red healing potions on it. The belt will be black like the Lazurite.
“Knowledge is power!”
Trade with a junglin 100 times. In the Minecraft Marketplace skin section, you will unlock the ancient junglin cloak. It is a black cloak with glowing dark blue colors like the Lazurite.
“Restitution”
Give a junglin a totem-of-undying. In the Minecraft Marketplace skin section, you will unlock a back-skin item which is a junglin riding on your back.
There would also be a lot of free Marketplace skin items, and possibly more achievements too.

The junglins are aliens! They invented healing potions and the totem-of-undying. Their totems were stolen and now belong to the pillagers. Junglins are the most brilliant creatures in the game! They have all the secrets of the Ancient Builders hidden in their library.
