Orangutans are medium-sized mammals that walk on all fours and are covered in reddish-brown fur.

Behavior[]

Orangutans are neutral. When their baby is attacked, they will stand up and swing their arms at you, dealing damage. Sometimes they take a break from walking and sit down. They will often grab Bananas and Apples that are dropped and eat them, which can heal them by 2.5 health points. Unlike most apes in Minecraft, Orangutans usually spawns alone. Baby Orangutans often cling onto the backs of adults.

Bred[]

Orangutans are bred with Bananas. Simply drop some Bananas on the ground, and they will grab and proceed to eat them. After an adequate amount have been eaten, the Orangutans will be tamed.
