Ostriches are a possibly passive or neutral mob that was proposed to be added to Minecraft, living in savannas. They weren't added because the savanna didn't win the Biome Chooser in 2018. They would have been added along with termites, termite mound, and baobab trees.

These tall flightless birds are known for being fast runners. They may possibly be ridable, however this isn’t confirmed, as ostriches in real life are not ridable. This bird buries its head in sand for an unknown reason, which ostrich do not do in real life.
