Parrots are a passive mob that was added into Minecraft in the World of Colors update. Being parrots, they are the 4th flying mob and 2nd bird in Minecraft.
Features[]
Parrots can sit on either shoulder after you tame them with seeds. Originally, you tamed parrots with cookies. This was changed since outrage on Reddit stated that cookies are toxic to real-life parrots, and that many children will start feeding real parrots cookies (This never happened)
If you place a disk inside a jukebox, parrots nearby will dance. Their "dancing" is an easter egg to a dancing parrot meme.
Colors[]
The parrots come in 5 colors, all of which bear resemblance to actual parrots.
- Red Parrot (Based off of a Scarlet Macaw)
- Blue Parrot (Based off of a Hyacinth Macaw)
- Green Parrot (Based off of a Military Macaw)
- Silver (Gray Parrot) (Based off of a Cockatiel)
- Cyan Parrot (Based off of a Blue and Yellow Macaw)
