Penguins are a mob candidate for Minecraft Live 2023 but have been highly requested in the past. In a tweet, Jeb said he wanted to add them eventually. Not much is currently known, but there are some speculations. They were also a mob in the 2023 Mob Vote, however they got eliminated first.

Penguins attack, eat, and are bred with cod.
Penguins live in cold biomes.
Penguins are afraid of Polar Bears, but they don't attack them.
