Rejected mobs

Sharks, Crocodiles, Lions and Alligators. mojang has officially announced that these creatures will never be added to the game, the reason is that mojang has now taken such a big stance of not adding real world animals, and they want their hostile mobs monsters. Not animals. And since these creatures are hostile irl, they won’t ever be added. And they decided to bench this idea.

But once upon a time, mojang said the horse would never be added. So one day maybe.

Mummys and Mimified Creatures. the desert has desert temples but no mummys, mojang were horsing around with adding mummys into the game. When pyramids where added they were considering what could be added into pyramids to give the feeling of the spooky ness when you are inside. But they could come up with a good mummy Design. plus they already have a desert zombie, being the husk.

Mobs From Minecraft Dungeons Won’t be Added, It’s because they are from a Spin-Off game. Things like Wraiths, Redstone Monstrosities, Enchanters, Key Golems, Leapeafs. Redstone Golems, Mountaineers the list goes on. It seems all of them will never be added to vanilla Minecraft. And because of this it is unlikely we will see them in the official release. After all, Minecraft spin-offs are different games to the original game. It is tragic we won’t see them.

There is one creature that has become very popular, the Capybara. It is a cute creature that you can tame. And it can follow you like a dog. Or just a freind to welcome you home from your mining adventure. But mojang refuses to add them, for some reason.

Seals, Sea lions, Beavers, reindeer, koalas, sloths, lava zombies, camouflage shulckers, burning spiders, cobble creepers, trolls, Tommos, scarecrows etc. mojang have confirmed they will never be seen on the face of mojang ever again, and will remain in the ideas library forever.

We have chickens for land but no ducks for water. It could swim in the water better than the chicken, unfortunately mojang confirmed they won’t be added, they said they won’t fit into the game. They said: “They aren’t all quacked up to be” Plus they’re too similar to chickens.

What do Elephants, Giraffes, Hippos and Rhinos have in common? They are quite big and mostly peaceful, but also Endangered species, sure we do have endangered animals in the game. Like polar bears, pandas, axolotls, turtles, dolphins and bees, but because of hunting reasons we won’t see elephants in Minecraft. And for this reason, I don’t think the devs will introduce these animals into the game. Just as well, we don’t want to encourage young players to hunt them for their tusks, teeth’s and horns and what not.

The Elder Guardian is a bit underwhelming but not a boss and this is why this mob has been requested for years now, I know, i know now, Elder guardians are already in the game but people want them to be a boss, but it is unlikely it will be a boss of the ocean, we could see another boss of the ocean but not the elder guardian. The main exception is the kraken. A deep sea monster that would make a great ocean boss.

lets be honest everyone hates the mob vote. Sure back in the day it seemed good, but now everyone is sad their mob did not win. And this would lead to Stopthemobvote. And it eventually cancelled the mob vote. And because of this stopthemobvote, here are the mobs we will never see in Minecraft: Meerkats, Ostriches, Vultures, Termites, Mooblooms, Iceolagers, Glares, Rascals, Tuff golems, Penguins, Crabs, Barnacles, Wildfires, Great hungers, Chinese alligators, White-lipped deers, golden monkeys, Banji dolphins and alpacas. There are may players like me, who would love to see them be added to the game. However let’s face it. They’ve lost in the live votes and it would make the former tradition of voting completely pointless if the dev where to add the ones that lost. All of these would have been amazing additions to the game, but mojang can only add two losers, that being the frog and the copper golem.

Zebras are similar to horses, Scorpions are similar to spiders and octopus are similar to squid’s. My point is we won’t be seeing any animals that are similar to existing animals in the game. And the chances of that ever happing is not in mojang favor. Sadly.

the Jungle feels barren. It is really lacking in the mob department. It has only 3 animals being the ocelot, panda and parrot. And this is because mojang refuses to add this mob into the game: monkeys. Monkeys would be a great addition to the jungle and the could climb branches and swing from trees. A most likely came with a banana item you can use to tame them etc. I can understand why mojang won’t add them, because this seems like a coding nightmare. And it will probably take more coding time that the warden did.

rats will never be added, thank god. Rats are gross creatures to most people and they are kind of similar to silverfish. Which in a way is like a rat. Hiding in the floor, making weird noises and being all creepy. Plus, what biome would they spawn in? I would say dungeons or cave possibly? Let’s be honest, no one wants to see rats anyways.

Illusionours, killer bunnies and giants. They are not really features of Minecraft despite being in the game. The only way to spawn them is by using commands. And they even didn’t give them any coding, not even a single use for these mobs. Ever. It is a sad event mojang didn’t find a use for these mobs. So it will be that these won’t be added for years to come. But the zombie horse has a spawn egg but it is bedrock edition exclusive.

Skeletons spawn at night or in caves, Starys Spawn in Cold Biomes, Wither skeletons spawn in Nether Forts, Boggeds spawn in Swamps, Withers anre bosses that can be built and Skeleton horses appear in undead traps. With this it seems like there are enough skeletons in Minecraft. And it will be unlikely to see a new skeleton to be added to the skeleton family.

Fierflies were announced in the wild update. Until the developers found out they were poisonous to frogs. And because of that fireflies will never be added. Instead they came as particles, but it just isn’t the same.

Years ago, Notch was horsing around of adding a Red Dragon into the game, but that idea was benched for a while and they forgot about it. Later people asked if it was to be added and mojang said they don’t have plans to add it anymore. And Jens said if they got a red dragon, it would most likely come from the Ender dragon egg.

The Pelican Is Another Animal I think won’t be added for 2 reasons: First the mob was an error with chickens and second, we already have chickens and we have parrots. So I doubt the devs are planning to add yet another bird. Plus I think pelicans are too similar to chickens. Since they are white and eat seeds.

the Update Aquatic gave us new sea creatures, like Tropical fish, Blowfish, Salmon, Cod, Dolphins and turtles, and eventually axolotls and the much hated glow squid. And the point is that people think the oceans are overcrowding. But I think there is not enough. But it seems like we won’t see any new animals for the sea, unless it is a deep sea creature. So animals like orcas, rays, seahorses, jellyfish and others will unfortunately remain in the real world, or if you are reading this in the future, as a myth. Extinct, nonexistent.

19.

Minecraft legends is another spin-off game, and the mobs from that are from a long time ago. And so the mobs from that are extinct. This means we won’t see things like More variants of piglins, fancy tigers, badgers, marmots, butterflies, dragonflies, big beaks, brilliant beetles, yellow allays, new golems just to name a few. And this means we won’t see them in Minecraft and they will be extinct forever in game.

20.

We have pandas for jungles and we have polar bears for tundras. So why don’t we have grizzly bears? Well pandas and polar bears are endangered and are rare to find irl. But grizzly bears and black bears are actually common to find irl. And young players can’t just go up to these creatures thinking they are safe. But I think mojang are really overthinking this.

creatures that seem too fictional. Warewolfs, Centaurs, Fairies, Goblins, Ogres, Cyclopses, Unicorns, Orcs, Elves, Dwarfs, More Dragons, Pegasus, Mermaids, Vampires and more. Even though Cyclopes are in the Chinese version of Minecraft, along with the chaos boss, they won’t be in the official version. Of any cyclopses are reading this. What can I say expect, sorry.

22.

Mobs that seem too realistic. Aliens, Robots and even Dinosaurs. I know Minecraft already has a dinosaur, that being the sniffer. But I’m talking about the big and strong ones like T-Rex and Brachiosaurus, they were strong. Way stronger than the average wadern. But we might see the triceratops, stegosaurus, velociraptor, parasaurolophus etc. but not the large carnivores or sauropods.

name a creature that’s bigger than the Ender dragon, wither and wadern combined. Say hello to the whale. It would make a great addition to the deep oceans and they seem majestic. But I feel like they won’t be added because again, we don’t want young players going up to them and hunting them.

Everyone hates the glow squid. Dream spam typed glow squid and now we have this useless thing that doesn’t even glow. So mojang will learn from this mistake that adding another glowing mob would be a bad idea.

The dev were planning to add an illager golem. Mojang really thought about this idea and guess what. They added it! No im joking they rejected it too.

There are lots of April fools mob mojang does to joke us. But sadly april fools mobs are not official creatures. And there are many joke mobs for that. Redstone bugs, diamond chickens, love golems, pink withers, nerd creepers, space mobs, poisonous potato mobs and others. Those were only joke features and they will never make their way back into the game. Even on other april fools updates. Bad news if you want a diamond chickens pet, if you are not angry at this one, the next one will make you more furious.

baby dolphins. Or any other baby version of an existing Minecraft mob. We have Panda Cubs, Kittens, Puppies, piglets, lambs, bunnies, bee-lings. Why Not Dolphins? That would be the cutest thing since the introduction of pandas. They are a feature for bedrock players only but not java ones, this was also a bug that was quickly fixed. And now we don’t have any baby dolphins anymore. And on the topic of dolphins, they were going to add dolphin jockeys but that idea was also cost aside.

ghasts are probably The 3rd biggest mob. after the Ender dragon and the unused giant. So this means we won’t be seeing any giant mobs. Anything bigger than 1 and an half ghasts is too big for Minecraft. unless its going to be a new boss like the wadern. But I feel they could add another large mob. Who knows. It could happen. Anything.

the caves and cliff update was going to be even better if they added this mob: the ghost miner. Similar to the rascal, it goes in caves and mines ores and probably shows to where the nearest ores are. But sadly mojang cut this feature too. So it is unlikely we will see them.

30.

Minecraft Earth was a great AR game. But it shut down in summer 2021. And we lost all of these mobs that died together with the platform: Furnace Golems, Melon Golems, Bone Mobs, Bighorned sheep, Muddy Pigs, Fancy Chickens Jumbo rabbits and much more. It is a disgrace that none of these are in the game. And what a loss it is that none of these will ever be seen again.

remember when I talked about Minecraft dungeones mobs? Well that also included pet mobs like hedgehogs, toucans, ministrocieties, moles, ravens, red pandas, ferrets, raccoons, skunks and the guardian vexes. (Wait who put that one there? That’s more scary than cute) There are most reasons like because of Microsoft, laziness and money. And it will be unlikely we will see any of these.

Tigers, Leopards and Cheetahs are also real world hostile animals, and I recon we won’t see them in the game because of mojang stupid rule.

Bees, silverfish, endermites and spiders are currently the only bug mobs in the game. And in the spring to life drop they announced firefly particles and they are so small that they will only be in from two pixels to only just one. Like what? Mojang spoke with adding more bugs and they said “there scared of bugs”? So yeah. There’s No real reason, they just rejected it that is why we won’t be seeing any new bugs in the game. And come on. It is just too little. Sorry to you bug lovers. And on the topic of bugs, they did make a concept for smaller bees but as you might expect this is on the list of rejected mobs so yeah rejected too.

Nautilus has their shell in Minecraft so, why don’t he have a nautilus mob in the game? On Minecraft wiki they said even though there is a nautilus shell in the game the devs don’t have any plans to add the nautilus in the game. This makes me think that like the legends mobs, nautilus went extinct like the others. So because of this we won’t be seeing any nautilus in game.

The agent and the NPC are mobs from Minecraft education edition, as of this they won’t ever be added to the real game. Imagine you could use the agent to plant, chop wood, mine, break blocks, crafting and building. I can see why it’s education exclusive. Having this in the main game would be straight OP.

Creatures that are too niche for Minecraft. like previously mentioned mobs. seals, koalas, sloths and so on. Thos won’t have any purpose to the player and will only be there to add ambiance to whatever biome. And this is why it feels like they won’t add anymore animals into the future, even previously mentioned creatures that aren’t too niche, because they wanted to stick with the fantastical and not realistic theme. And because the spring to life drop had plenty of options, but every animal option didn’t go under their rule, or lost votes, or where too niche. Honestly, there is a whole list of things that could go wrong with adding new animals/a new animal of any kind, from the real world to Minecraft, it’s just easier for mojang to just make up their own creature.

Pixelmon are Pokemon in Minecraft. But it seems like they won’t be added to the game. Mojang haven’t collaborated with Pokemon. And if they add any pixelmon to the game, they will probably get sued by the Pokemon company. Unless they have made a Pokemon dlc in the Minecraft marketplace.

Herobrine is probably the most feared mob in Minecraft. The once mojanged brother, who died, will haunt us all. And people have told myths about it. Some people say he is in the game. Others think he was never. And some think that maybe mojang removed him in an update. But one things for sure. We will never know if herobrine will haunt us in game. Who knows.
