Swans are large neutral waterbirds, capable of reaching a length of over 1.5m. They can be very territorial and usually mate for life. Swans feed in water and on land. They are almost entirely herbivorous, although they may eat small amounts of aquatic animals.

Spawning[]
Swans spawn naturally in the overworld in groups of two to three. They can be found in beaches and rivers. They will often spawn on water.
Drops[]
When an adult swan is killed, it drops:
- 0-2 feathers.
- 2-3 raw bird meat (2-3 cooked bird meat if killed while on fire).
- 1-3 XP when killed by a player or tamed wolf.
Behaviour[]
Swans are swimming birds and are able to move about on water.
While in a loaded chunk, a swan will lay a swan egg every 5-10 minutes when on dry land.
Breeding[]
Swans can only breed with each other if they are the same variant. They must be adults, and if fed wheat seeds, melon seeds, pumpkin seeds or beetroot seeds, a baby swan will spawn. The variant of the baby will match that of its parents.
Baby swans can also be spawned by hatching a swan egg. The colour of the baby will match its mother. An egg with a higher spawn rate will have a better chance of hatching successfully.
