Turtle

Turtles are passive mobs that were added in Minecraft 1.13. This is the page about the turtles being added into Vanilla Minecraft. For the page about modded turtles, click here.

Spawning[]

Turtles will spawn in warm oceans. Turtles will mate if you feed them both seagrass. The Turtle's eggs will hatch and scrawl into the ocean. The eggs will only hatch at night. Zombies, Skeletons, Ocelots, and Wolves will unfortunately stomp on the egg.

Trivia[]

Turtles weren't revealed during MineCon, but in Christmas 2017 via a Twitter Post.
Turtles will have a single beach they call "home", and always return to it no matter how far away it is.
