The Wildfire[1] formerly known as The Hovering Inferno or Mob D was a possible voted mob in the 2017 Mob Vote along with the Barnacle, The Great Hunger and the winning Phantom. [2] This mob was eliminated after the second poll, however on Twitter, Minecraft producer Marc Watson confirmed the mob would make an appearance in Minecraft Dungeons or elsewhere in the minecraft universe. Eventually, the mob would finally be added to the "Tower" in Minecraft Dungeons.

Appearence and Behavior[]

Minecraft[]

The Wildfire would have had a similar design to the one in Minecraft Dungeons. (As shown by it's prototype sketch.) Its behavior is unknown, but it is presumed that it would function similarly (or the exact same) to how it does in Minecraft Dungeons.

Minecraft Dungeons[]

The Wildfire is a type of blaze. This Blaze type of mob has the same design as the regular blaze, although this specific mob has four rectangular shields that spin around it. The shields protect the Wildfire from attacks until all four are broken. The mob also slams down with its body when the player goes near it. The Wildfire can summon blazes for extra support if needed. The previously mentioned attack bounces the player away from it. It can heal itself using fire and repair broken shields.
